Justin Jacobson Graduates from Centenary College

Hackettstown, N.J. - Centenary College held its 140th Winter Commencement last month. Justin Jacobson, a resident of Andover was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree.

The keynote speaker, Fred Mangione, addressed Centenary's 215 graduates. In addition, Robert J. Polakowski, retired Vice President of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree at the ceremony.

Mangione serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center. Some of Mangione's responsibilities include the strategic development and implementation of marketing, branding, sales plans, and customer relationship management metrics for the team and arena. Mangione received his Bachelor of Science degree in business management and marketing from Centenary College.

The graduating class included undergraduate and graduate students from the main campus in Hackettstown and the Centenary College School of Professional Studies learning centers in Parsippany and Edison. Degrees that were awarded were as follows: 12 Associate of Arts and Associate of Science: 35 Bachelor of Arts: 4 Bachelor of Fine Arts: 67 Bachelor of Science: 1 Bachelor of Social Work: 29 Master of Arts: 11 Master of Education: and 56 Master of Business Administration.

Founded in 1867 by the Newark Conference of the United Methodist Church, Centenary College's academic program integrates a solid liberal arts foundation with a strong career orientation. This mix is designed to provide an educational experience that prepares students to succeed in the increasingly global and interdependent world.

Centenary College's main campus is located in Hackettstown, N.J., with its equestrian facility in Washington Township (Morris County). The Centenary College School of Professional Studies offers degree programs in three locations: Hackettstown, Parsippany and Edison, and at corporate sites throughout New Jersey. The School of International Programs recruits international students for study at Centenary and Centenary students for study abroad.
